Surf Life Saving Otago is the district body for six Surf Life Saving Clubs from Warrington in the north to Oreti in the south. We are a non-profit, volunteer based organisation committed to the prevention of drowning and injury in the aquatic environment.
Generations of families have grown up on our beaches which are among the finest and safest in the world, where you can swim, surf, body surf, boogie board, kayak, fish, or, just lay out in the sun. Surf Life Saving Otago, of course, doesn't guarantee sunshine, but short of that, we do everything we can to ensure each visitor has a safe and fun day at one of our patrolled beaches during summer.
There are many ways you can become involved with Surf Life Saving. This can range from learning new skills which you could use to save a life; becoming a club member or supporter; participating in a wide range of exciting and rewarding activities and courses; gain first aid skills or you can make a donation to help us provide our service to young and old alike. We encourage you to have a look around our site and contact us anytime.
